Compare Homes: make the differences easier to see
Give your shortlist the same questions so the important differences are easier to see.
Give your shortlist the same questions so the important differences are easier to see.
Ask each home the same questions
Start with the priorities you set before the search. Compare the homes against those priorities instead of letting each listing introduce a completely different decision standard.
Identify the tradeoffs
A larger home might mean a different location. A lower asking price may come with condition questions. Listing information can help identify those tradeoffs, but it does not replace inspections or independent verification of property facts.
Bring the differences into the tour
Use your shortlist to decide what you need to learn in person. Share the unresolved questions with the brokerage so the showing has a purpose. The goal is a decision you can explain in terms of your needs, not a choice based only on which photo you liked first.
This is a buyer decision framework, not an appraisal, inspection, underwriting result or automated property recommendation. Verify property facts and conditions before making a decision.
