Named for a local gathering spot under a liberty pole, the community maintained its ranching character for over 150 years. The construction of Ronald Reagan Boulevard (SH 29) connecting to I-35 and Toll 183A opened Liberty Hill to Austin commuters in the 2010s, triggering one of the most dramatic growth surges in Williamson County.
